That’s more like it.
Our picks last week were pretty good. Two first goalscorers. Another three netting anytime. Oh, and a red card. Let’s not mention that.
But we were not as good as you lot. Over 11% of players secured a £10 free bet courtesy of three perfect predictions. And a trio of talented individuals correctly called five first goalscorers, which meant the tiebreaker came into play – with one lucky winner taking home the weekly £2,000.
It’s not quite a million, but it’s a cracking consolation.
If you’re new to this by the way… Million Pound Picks is our FREE TO PLAY weekly game, where you could win £1,000,000 by predicting 10 first goalscorers across the weekend’s Premier League (and Championship) action.
Will Gameweek 12 be lucky for some? We’ve got a few derby-day ding-dongs and a relegation battle between Arsenal and Burnley to discuss… so let’s dive straight in.

The derbies
Two lunchtime games this week, two not-so-friendly fixtures.
The first comes from the Championship. More specifically it comes from Wales. Cardiff and Swansea are never going to be on each other’s Christmas Card list and with all the bruising battles over the years, on-pitch entertainment isn’t often at the forefront. The last three meetings in the Welsh capital have been 0-1, 1-0 and 0-0.
Swansea bring the style, Cardiff bring the solid. Swansea are fourth, Cardiff have won four in a row. Kieffer Moore and Andre Ayew are the star strikers, but we think the pair might just cancel each other out. No goalscorer.
Next up, it’s a West Midlands match-up and this could be a close one too. Leander Dendoncker is an aerial threat and is averaging over a shot per game this season. He’s due a goal – and you can back the Belgian to score anytime with Grosvenor Sport at 6/1, or 15/1 to break the deadlock.
Now we’re going rogue and picking out of order – just because we can. It makes sense to stick to the rivalries and the Manchester derby should be a good ‘un. Man Utd have a habit of conceding first and coming back (not including the Champions League…) but they won’t get away with that here.
We’ll take Kevin de Bruyne to show his class at Old Trafford and get the ball rolling in a routine win – a 15/2 shout with Grosvenor Sport’s Wincast option.
One more derby. No rivalry, but it is a clash in the capital between Crystal Palace and Spurs. The Eagles soared past West Brom but come up against Mourinho’s table-topping Tottenham. We keep picking the wrong one, but we’re opting for Son over Harry Kane.
These two pals keep teeing each other up – so check out Grosvenor Sport’s Player Specials. Kane to score and assist is 9/2, Son is 8/1 to do the same. Both landed against Arsenal last week.
The good, the bad and the obvious
Now for a few games involving some heavy favourites. Southampton are 8/11 to beat Sheffield United and with Danny Ings back on the pitch and scoring, the Saints and England striker seems the safe choice.
Liverpool should enjoy their trip to Craven Cottage and it’s just a case of picking the right forward – we’re taking Mo Salah. And we also think Leicester will have too much for Brighton. Fresh from destroying the Bramall Lane corner flag, Jamie Vardy can inflict more damage.
An anytime treble on the three pays out a little over 5/1 with Grosvenor Sport. Lovely.
The best of the rest
Three games still to go for. And we don’t want to keep you too much longer – you’ve got some all-important Million Pound Picks to make.
Callum Wilson has seven Premier League goals so far and it doesn’t seem beyond reason that he can add to his tally after the Baggies shipped five to Crystal Palace.
Oh, there is another derby. The Carlo Ancelotti derby. Everton have stuttered of late, Chelsea haven’t – and we’re choosing Timo Werner to profit at Goodison Park.

Last and very much least, it’s Arsenal v Burnley. This one might not be much fun. Will Arsenal sling a load of aimless crosses into the box again? Burnley’s defence will mop that up all day long.
We started with a No Goalscorer pick, and we’re ending it with one. Sorted.
